My Past

As a graphic designer, I created social media content for my college. As extra-curricular, I led design teams for events like Data Natives X India, TEDxVIT, and ITSA.

I spearheaded design for Collegepond, authoring their Brand Identity and designing assets for social media, live events and their websites. These experiences led me to pursue a career in User Experience Design.

My Present

Since then, I've worked on academic and industry UX research & design projects, as well as participated in design sprints and hackathons.

I pursued a master's in human-computer interaction (HCI) at Indiana University - Indianapolis to fuel my passion for UX design.

Approaching Design

For me, design is an endless loop of iterations, that's what my logo represents: the double diamond of design.

DESIGN IDEALS

Stay curious, stay hungry!

Ask questions. Ask questions. Ask questions. Ask questions. Ask questions. What? This is the foundation of design.

All users are stakeholders

But not all stakeholders are users. It is important to consider the needs of all stakeholders, not just the user. This tells me to create a balance that generates value for everyone involved.

Don't re-invent the wheel

If it's already tried and tested, use it. In doing so, I save valuable time, that can be used to iterate and refine the design.

Draw inspiration from everything

Don't just see, observe. Notice. Take notes! I love to observe organisms and how they interact with their environments. These natural interactions - translated digitally - create seamlessness.

Outside Work

I enjoy exploring natural beauty by visiting state parks. I also love playing new games with friends and petting cats. And, if you love me too much, a cup of coffee is the highway to my heart. Here's what "Sagar-vision" looks like:
